Review

Let me start by saying that, while I have watched season 1 and 2, any subsequent season I will watch but will most likely not review as they are rinse and repeat. On that note, I did watch these about 6 months ago and forgot to finish this review. So details will be light.

Lets start with the story overall. They play in the same universe, but have very little connection from season one to season two. The story is well detailed and does a great job of leaving out details that will spoil the plot for future episodes. The mystery in the beginning and then the look back after the intro is an awesome way to continue to have people guess what is going to happen. Also there are some really good shock scene that are there for shock only. Scene one in season one and then a couple later that season come to mind just because I didn't know what to expect. Don't want to give it away, but you'll know it right away.

As for the acting, the team does a great job. I feel like the second season, while more boring to me as far as the story, has much higher class of acting. I mean who doesn't enjoy watching Aubrey Plaza? She is a fantastic actor who leans into the weird.

The settings are wonderful and are on location so that helps you be pulled into the story itself.

My Rating

Overall, I gave it an 8 when I first started writing this 6 months ago, but I haven't thought about it since then which is why I didn't finish this review. I am going to give it my first half grade of 7.5 because I feel like the show did a great job, it doesn't last beyond the initial conversation. It promises so much and then just tails off. It is drama for drama sake without the pay off. That guessing game I mentioned previously, it never really pays off. It is always just a left over piece by the end of the season and you honestly don't care any more/don't remember. It is at best a 7.5

Parental Rating

Ha no. They are out. Full nudity of both men and women, lots of language, drug use, sex, etc. Not a chance would they watch this. Rejected for both.
