Raised by Wolves

Travis Fimmel is honestly a completely underrated actor. He dives into his roles so far that you can't see him as anything else. His performance is what stands with me more than anything else in this show other than the weird Android having babies that are snakes. Like I said, its a weird show.

Raised by Wolves

Synopsis

During a religious civil war, a human sends an android with human embryos to a new planet. However, religious crusaders later land on the same planet and attempt to build a colony which puts the two groups at ends with each other, continuing the war.

Review

So I watched this a long time ago and really have no desire to rewatch it, but I started this and want to finish the review. Having watched both seasons relatively back to back, and it is a weird show for sure. I will say that the universe that it is built on is incredibly detailed and deep.

Travis Fimmel is honestly a completely underrated actor. He dives into his roles so far that you can't see him as anything else, look at him in Vikings. His performance is what stands with me more than anything else in this show other than the weird Android having babies that are snakes. Like I said, its a weird show.

Other than that, this show is a long winded and because it was canceled early, it never really resolves itself which other than the performances by the team, makes it not worth watching.

My Rating

I wanted to like this. Fimmel's performance makes this show a 10, but the rest of the cast just flounders. The story being unfinished is really the biggest disappointment. That lack of finish, the slowness of each episode with peaks of action and true entertainment, make this a 5. It is unfortunate and unfair, but it is the truth.

Parental Rating

They are both out, this show has lots of language, violence, and nudity in weird places. It also is just slow and not their cup of tea. Rejected by both.
