Olympus has Fallen

I watched this movie in theaters when it first came out and the invasion of the White House was hard to watch then. After my years in service, it is still hard to watch and even more so since I know those stairs and hallways.

Review

A Gerard Butler kick going on in this house right now and it isn't without cause. He is a great actor and can kind of do it all. He isn't a 10 acting wise, you aren't going to cry or cheer at his performances, but he is an awesome person and actor.

This movie is really just an action film with a somewhat plausible plot. The action is really engaging and there isn't anything that stands out as outright bad. It does a great job of raising the stakes making you care.

I watched this movie in theaters when it first came out and the invasion of the White House was hard to watch then. After my years in service, it is still hard to watch and even more so since I know those stairs and hallways. I think that is what makes this movie really good. The rotation of a stage vs in location shooting is really well done.

My Rating

I have watched this movie multiple times. It is good. It is worth the watch in every way. It isn't Oscar worthy, but it is a good movie. 7

Parental Rating

My dad will 100% watch this. Action, limited language, and no sex. My mom would watch with my dad as it has a good story. It isn't a family movie, but it has happy ending. I am hesitant to say either approved or rejected for her as it isn't a family movie, but I know she enjoyed this movie so I will say approved.
