Review

What an amazing movie. I really enjoy movies that are based on real stories as it is a great glimpse into something I'd probably never research or learn more details about. Obviously the story has to be something that close to the truth, not Gladiator which is widely made up, but based on real people.

As for acting chops, this movie is standout performances be all involved. I don't think Jessica Chastain could have done a better job. Watching her emotion just run the full gambit from happy, fierce, rage, and sadness is just outstanding. I could not see here ever getting better. Idris Elba was again just throwing his weight around and just really announcing his presence in those scenes.

My Rating

An outstanding movie with solid performances from all involved. I couldn't have been more interested in the movie and am not sure how this movie just slept on people and ran under the radar, but it is a must watch. Easy 9.

Parental Rating

Language throughout with some of it being crude, but that is the biggest issue. There is no nudity, extended violence, or language that is out of place. My mom is in because this is a movie about redemption and my dad would 100% watch it as well. Approved by both.
