Review

This easily a household favorite. Tells a wonderful story of triumph in the face of overwhelming adversity both foreign and domestic.

The entire team did a great job presenting their characters and it is a great feel good movie. I mean who doesn't want to defeat the Russians every day?

Honestly I don't have a ton to say about this movie. It is really well done and I can't think of anything to complain about. Pacing is good, acting is great with a solid performance and monologue by Taraji P. Henson.

I also feel the need to give a shoutout to Jim Parsons, our [[Big Bang Theory]]'s lovable Sheldon, as he is great. He turns the annoying and loving snootiness to snootiness and racism in this movie and while using a lot of the same mannerisms, he is very believable.

My Rating

Like I said above, this is a great feel good movie of triumph and second chances. Taraji is fantastic deserves a lot of credit. There are some points that are just slow, for me personally, but it is needed to tell the story. Please go watch this film and enjoy the wonderful story. 8/10

Parental Rating

This was during the 60s so language was minimal and honestly both my parents were alive during this period so it is much more likely to be appropriate to their sensibilities. No sex, no violence. Just drama. Win win for them.
