Glass Onion

Synopsis

A dumber Elon Musk invites his friends to a private island to have a murder mystery party, but Detective Blanc shows up uninvited which creates confusion and exasperation.

Review

This was a highly entertaining movie and Daniel Craig makes a great southerner. Just to watch his performance, I'd watch this again sooner than I typically do because it is that entertaining. However, that being said the movie was not a great performance that will win awards, but I don't think that was ever the intent.

The setting is also really cool. I mean who doesn't love seeing what a billionaire with a more money than they know what to do with does with a house. I mean Edward Norton has a Porsche just sitting on his roof, because "There is no where to drive it on the island." Yeah that makes sense.

As for the rest of the cast, honestly I was more impressed with the newer individuals that the known entities like Kate Hudson. Having a more cynical view of celebrities, especially some of the actions taken during COVID lock downs, I feel like she and Edward Norton kind played themselves. Egotistical, selfish, and using favors and money to look down at the rest of us. However, I will digress from my whining and return to our regular schedule.

The story is good as is the previous one as well. Just a great "Who don it" mystery movie and you just continue to be entertained.

My Rating

As I said in the very beginning, this movie is highly entertaining and just fun to watch. The little bit back and forth through backstory and present day. Just really fun. It is at least a 7 and I am going to leave it as that due to the fact that the story is the best part about it.

Parental Rating

Violence is minimal, language is there, but no major F-bombs or truly unsavory words. I think for that reason and in general it is a fun movie, both my mom and dad would be in. Approved by both.
