Without Remorse

Review

Can Michael B. Jordan play any other character?! Between this, Black Panther, and Creed, the character is just a different back story for the same dude. Its good, but damn he is a one-trick pony. The movie is a standard Tom Clancy film. Action, subplot, suspicion, and trade craft.

The movie was pretty good. Nothing you haven’t gotten from Sum of All Fears, Jack Ryan, Patriot Games, etc. Michael B. Jordan does a great job, the other members of his team are recognizable, but for sure background actors and they are nothing to write home about. From the get go, you know there is a twist, but they do a good job of not waving signs with bright arrows as to what the twist is and I appreciate that. I should mention, the twist is 100% predictable, but how it is deployed is the more hidden option.

My Rating

I hated this movie. It was low of substance, story, and acting is very one direction. I expect so much more from Tom Clancy items, see Jack Ryan and the old Tom Clancy films, and you will agree. The action is nice, but damn that is best thing that I have for it. I’ll be honest, the movie does a good job on bringing you into the world, specifically, the action of holding your breath when the characters goes under the water is a good sign and I did that. With all of that, it is a 5.. at it's best... on a good day.

Parental Rating

My Mom and Dad would enjoy this. Would Mom watch it on her own? NO. Dad would really enjoy it though and totally would watch it by himself, in fact I think he has mentioned that he has an enjoyed it. Dad approved, Mom rejected because it isn't family friendly.
